Join Luna for two FREE events as we celebrate Bay Area Dance Week ! Each event is held at our Aquatic Park Studio, 605 Addison St. Berkeley.

Luna Faculty Inquiry Sharing

Wednesday, May 2nd 1-3pm

Luna Dance Teaching Artists share an informal presentation of their yearly inquiry projects taking a deeper look into self-derived questions from practice. Topics include creating student tools for choreographic reflection, investigating why boys make up the majority of special education dance classes, and cultivating community and culture within the creative dance classroom.

Modern Dance Improvisation for 8-11 yr/olds

Wednesday, May 2nd 4:30-5:30pm

Luna opens up their Modern Dance Improvisation class for ages 8-11. Dancers explore the elements of dance moving through space, energy, and time. Participants will learn about dance improvisation and how to create their own choreography. All children ages 8-11 (new and experienced with dance) are welcome!

Bay Area Dance Week is a 10-day celebration of dance featuring hundreds of FREE classes, performances, open rehearsals, and lecture demonstrations from  April 27 – May 6, 2018. Check out the full calendar (sponsored by Dancer’s Group).
